BLACK HISTORY MONTH
In a world that often asks us to forget, remembering becomes a radical act. This February, I celebrate Black History Month by honoring my family's history in the United States while reaching back to ancestral roots in Benin and Togo. This issue holds space for memory, joy, grief, and pride -- and for the ways Black history continues to live, breathe, and resist through us.

My Thoughts
After seeing how beautiful Africa truly is - through video clips on Instagram - I am excited to explore history, especially my history. This February, I celebrate Black History Month by honoring my family's history in the United States while reaching back to ancestral roots in Benin & Togo, Nigeria, Mali, Cameroon, Western Bantu Peoples, Ivory Coast & Ghana, and possibly Senegal. It feels good to have a start in figuring out where my ancestors may have originated. This February will be educational and exciting.
In an age long before the pyramids rose…
The world stood at the edge of change.
The great Green Sahara — once a land of rivers, forests, and lakes — began to fade beneath a restless sun.
Winds shifted. Rains withdrew. The Earth tilted, and the sky forgot its rhythm.
Across the continent, life moved with the water — tribes, herds, and spirits wandering southward in search of renewal.
The Third Millennium BCE had dawned…
and with it, the geometry of destiny began to unfold.
