Movie, TV & Book Reviews
By C. Clark
Movie: Jurassic World Rebirth
I remember when Jurassic Park came out, I was still going to the movie theater and was amazed at all the graphics – the CGI – the realism of the dinosaurs. Jurassic Park came out in 1993 and according to Gemini-AI, the ‘film graphics and animation were in a revolutionary phase, highlighted by Jurassic Park’s groundbreaking integration of CGI with animatronics,...’
I had been trying to get into the film industry to work with CGI, that is the main reason that movie stood out to me and why I’ve watched all the movies in that franchise. The first movie was the best by far but I’ve enjoyed all of them and Jurassic World Rebirth is no different. The CGI continues to be amazing as I could just enjoy the movie without thoughts of ‘that looks fake’ entering my mind.
Although nothing special stands out to me, I generally judge whether I like a movie based on whether I would enjoy watching it a couple of times. I’ve watched Jurassic World Rebirth at least twice now and wouldn’t mind watching it again. I’ve added it to my iTunes collection and give it a three out of five thumbs up.
I give it a 👍🏽👍🏽👍🏽
TV Series: The Terminal List: Dark Wolf
I have been waiting for “The Terminal List Season 2” from the moment “The Terminal List” ended. Not only do I have a crush on Taylor Kitsch but I remember “The Terminal List” being one of a few series (and movies) where I could not predict the ending – and I absolutely love those types of series. So, I was completely thrilled when I heard that SEAL Ben Edwards was getting his own series. “The Terminal List: Dark Wolf “ is a prequel to “The Terminal List” and is Ben’s backstory.
I won’t go into details because it is best watched on its own. However I will say that I loved the whole series, with my favorite episode being episode 6, especially when the plane is about to take off. Along with being a great watch, I have some new songs for my rotation. Taylor Kitsch is amazing as Ben and I hope to see more of his story line.
“The Terminal List” came out in 2022 and I didn’t go back and watch it, so it’s hard to compare the two series. It is my understanding that “The Terminal List” Season 2 is still in production, so I’m looking forward to seeing that when it is released.
I gave “The Terminal List: Dark Wolf” a 👍🏽👍🏽👍🏽👍🏽👍🏽(and a 😘to Taylor Kitsch)
Book: Novel Writing
I have to admit that I did not read a book this week, instead I started working on a novel. I’ve written 3 novels during NaNoWriMo (which is gone btw) yet none of them passed my interest test. This one however is exciting to me and the ideas seem to be flowing.
I gave it a 👍🏽(just because I didn’t read anything)
