U.S. and Israel Start War Against Iran

I remember where I was when Desert Storm – January 17, 1991 – started, but I don’t remember all the details. I also remember where I was when 9/11 (2001) happened. I do remember all the details.

I never thought about writing about them (when it was happening), but since I’ve been writing a lot lately, I thought I would write about it today.

I made a decision to focus on writing about my career pivot, but I am also a Multipotentialite and have decided to write about what interests me – regardless of whether it steers away from my career pivot focus.

I would like to have my own document of the events:

THE STRIKE ON IRAN

February 28, 2026 (Saturday) at 1:42AM EST, the U.S. and Israel launch a major attack on Iran. President Trump urges Iranians to “take over your government” when the strikes are over. He also stated that these strikes were for regime change.

Iran returned the strike by attacking several U.S. sites in the area.

It was later when I learned that the U.S./Israel attack struck a girls' school – killing around 57 people.

The attacks, on both sides, continued throughout the morning and afternoon.

At my last look, at 3:52PM EST, there are reports that the Ayatollah (Ayatollah Ali Khamenai) has been killed, which would be the beginning of, as a gentleman on MSNOW said, a ‘regime collapse’.

As of 5:30PM, it has become official that the Ayatollah and several other leaders have been killed.

MY INITIAL THOUGHTS

It’s a difficult space to be in, as the Ayatollah and the leadership have been horrible to the Iranian people. At the same time, Trump did not consult Congress or the American people – he is not a dictator, even though he wants to be – so that is a problem.

FINALLY

I’m just now learning, from MSNOW, that there may be Iranian cells in the U.S. I hope this is not something we will have to add to our list of stressors.

I also hope this doesn’t lead to a years-long war.
